Happy New Year! To all of our friends, customers and business partners around the world, everyone here at Dryrainge HQ in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada wishes you the best. Fill your next 12 months with fun, family and lots of golf shots and lessons. And if the weather turns nasty have no fear. No more cancelled lessons or range sessions with a Dryrainge on site.
As the calendar turns to 2017 we’re busy putting the finishing touches on the PGA Merchandise Show. Dryrainge will once again be at the annual Demo Day protecting PING’s visitors through our arrangement with PGA Magazine. Last year was our first visit to Demo Day and the feedback our president Bruce Rempel received on two of the Dryrainge 3-person Members Edition units was off the charts.
Even John Solheim made a point of coming over to meet Bruce personally.
PING’s chairman and CEO complimented the construction and quality of our range cover, how good it looked with the PING logos on it and how the unit gave him peace of mind. About 24 hours before Demo Day last January the forecast was calling for 80 per cent chance of rain!
Solheim will be pleased to have Dryrainge back at PING’s display area again next week. The radar shows a possibility of showers and windy conditions for Orange County National Golf Club. Fortunately the company will have golf’s undercover specialist taking care of business!
Dryrainge will also have a presence at the Show next week at the Golf Range Association of America’s annual networking breakfast. That will also be through our partnership with PGA Magazine.
We had an excellent year in 2016 with worldwide sales. Our supplier in the United Kingdom has done a terrific job spreading the word about Dryrainge in Europe and throughout Asia and we continue to look for more ways to market the brand.
One of those is through our latest business partnership. Dryrainge has teamed up with world famous swing instructor, Jim McLean and his golf school at Trump National Doral in Miami Beach, Florida. McLean’s son Matt, a teaching professional at the Concession Club in Florida introduced his dad to Dryrainge about a year ago. Jim called Bruce with a few questions and it didn’t take long for a partnership to form.
Dryrainge now has McLean and former United States Open champion turned swing instructor, Michael Campbell extolling the many virtues of the unit. Jim also did an impromptu video for us. If you have not seen it take a look. It’s here on the website.
Once again we had a big presence in the recent SCOREGolf business and equipment awards. Rick Young, the magazine’s business analyst nominated Dryrainge and Bruce for three awards in 2016. That included Canadian Product of the Year, Canadian Company of the Year and Executive of the Year (Bruce).
We’ll be back with a post PGA Show wrap up next month. Until then, if you have questions about Dryrainge our website at www.dryrainge.com will tell you just about everything you can want to know about the game’s top range cover. For Europe and Asia and other part of the world check us out at www.dryrainge.co.uk.
